These fenders are made from a precipitation-hardened aluminum alloy, containing magnesium and silicon as its major alloying elements which will take higher impacts than the standard plastic fender. Strong enough for a car to park on it. (Black powder coated

) Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint which is delivered via an evaporating solvent, powder coating is typically applied electrostatically and then cured under heat. . (Anodized fender) This process is called anodizing because the part to be treated forms the anode electrode of an electrolytic cell. Anodising increases resistance to corrosion and wear, and provides better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metal does.

complimentary tube of clear silicone with applicator tip.
