For Sale is one gently used Sokkia SDR33 Expert 1-Meg data collector (datalogger) along with software & documentation CD, data transfer cable, cordura soft case, charger, NiCd main battery and set of 2 lithium backup batteries. The data collector is in like-new condition. This equipment has been thoroughly tested and is guaranteed to be ready to work when you receive it.
WHY BUY AN SDR33 FROM ME?:
I have been selling like-new quality SDR33's here on ebay since 2004 and have sold hundreds of SDR's during that time to satisfied customers all over the world.  All of my SDR33's are restored to factory-new condition with genuine Sokkia parts.  Other sellers here on ebay sell "refurbished" SDR33's, but what they don't tell you is that the keypad is an aftermarket replacement which does not match the quality of the genuine Sokkia parts. Also, other sellers use a low quality replacement instrument cable.  We supply the SDR33 with a heavy duty O.E.M.-quality replacement cable.  The bottom line is that while their "refurbished" units may look new when you get them, after a few hours of use in the field the characters will wear off of the keypad and the instrument cable will start to cause communication errors.   Every SDR33 that I sell includes all genuine Sokkia factory parts for the SDR33 itself including the keypad,  and a heavy duty O.E.M. comparable instrument cable.  All Internal components are also genuine Sokkia electronic components.  The instrument cable and keypad are the two external parts which are subjected to the most wear and tear.  For this reason, Sokkia designed and manufactured these components to rigorous standards for durability.  Aftermarket replacement parts simply cannot match the O.E.M. quality of the original Sokkia keypad.  Also, I offer a 30-day return policy in which you may return the SDR33 for a full refund of the purchase price.  I stock a full inventory of replacement parts which are available only to past customers who have purchased an SDR33 from me.  So if, at any time after your purchase, you should need repair service or a replacement part, you can rest assured that I will be here to help you maintain your SDR33.

EXPERT VERSION
: I believe the SDR33 is the most rugged and dependable data collector you can buy and the Expert version of the SDR33 is the top-of-the-line model, built for the most demanding applications. The expert version adds the functionality to collect data from digital levels as well as total stations and provides extensive routines for road stakeout.
1 MB MEMORY:
With the 1MB model, you can store approximately 9,000 points. While it's true that you should download the data collected each day and that 2000 points is more than enough to store a day or 2 of topo work, with the extra memory provided in the 1 megabyte version, you will have extra room to keep multiple stakeout jobs stored in memory for quick access. If you frequently find yourself alternating between stakeout work and topographic surveying work within the same day or week, you will appreciate the ability to keep your stakeout jobs stored in the data collector while leaving ample space for collected data. With the 1MB model,you may never a need to delete stakeout jobs to make room to collect data. Of course you could keep stakeout jobs stored on a laptop or return to the office to upload stakeout jobs to the data collector, but you will be able to spend more time getting work done and less time uploading or keying in data if you keep your stakeout jobs loaded in the SDR33, ready for quick access. The 1MB model offers an excellent balance between cost, features and storage capacity.
COMPATIBILITY:
The SDR33 includes an instrument cable which works with Sokkia total stations and digital levels and Topcon total stations right out of the box. With the addition of an adaptor cable (not included) the SDR33 can be used with other total stations from a wide variety of manufacturers. The firmware in the SDR33 lists the following choices of instruments in addition to the Sokkia Instruments:
Pentax: PTSII/III, III/V/PCS, PTS-10
Geodimeter: 400/500/600
Zeiss: Elta 2/3, Elta 46R, Elta RL, Elta 50, DiNi 10/20 digital level
Topcon: GTS/ET1/ET2, GTS-3, GTS300 (The adaptor cable for the older-model Topcons without RS-232 Serial communications is no longer available from Sokkia. A third-party solution is available but the cost is prohibitive)
Wild: T1000, T1000+DI, T1600, T1600+DI, T2000, T2000+DI, T1010/1610, T1010/1610+DI, TCA110, TC/TCM series, NA2000/3000 digital level
Nikon: A-series, D-50, Newer DTM-series (The SDR33 will not work with the older-model DTM-1 and DTM-5 total stations due to them not having RS-232 compliant communications. If your Nikon total station has a 5-pin data-out port, it will not work with the SDR33. If it has a 6-pin data-out port, it should work with the SDR33 and the required adaptor cable available from Sokkia)

The data transfer cable is: brand new (not o.e.m. - allows data transfer between 25-pin bottom port on SDR33 and 9-pin serial port on PC) (The data transfer cable brand and appearance may differ from that shown in the photographs).  Please ask me if your PC does not have a serial port. There are USB-to-Serial adaptors available which will allow you to use the SDR33 with a newer PC or notebook computer which does not have serial ports.  I supply all of my SDR33's with a bottom port cable because the bottom port is more reliable for uploading/downloading at full 38,400 bps speed.  The bottom port cable I supply is not a genuine Sokkia cable because Sokkia did not offer one.  However, I do have genuine Sokkia data transfer cables that attach to the hirose connector on the end of the SDR33's instrument cable.  I can supply your SDR33 with a genuine Sokkia data transfer cable if you prefer.
