A "Finka" is a Norwegian or Swedis
h type knife.
The Finnish knife "Finka" or "Puuko", as it is called in Finland, rightly refers to universal knives, he came to us from the territory of Scandinavia, where it has the widest distribution.
Finka has a blade narrow in geometry, wedge-shaped, in cross section is a pentagon. The length of the blade is usually 110-120 mm, occasionally reaching 150 mm, which provides the knife with good "controllability", balance and low weight.
This geometry makes it possible to widely use the knife for hunting and household purposes, they can perform almost any kind of work and, importantly, allows to sharpen it in the field, camping conditions, using the simplest tool for sharpening, down to stone or river pebbles, not having highly qualified skills.
Despite the peaceful purpose of the knife, many military modifications were created on its base for the armies of various countries, including the Soviet Union, an example is the knife of the saboteur NR-40 or the Finka NKVD.
The blade is made of forged steel H12MF.
This knife is great for hunting and fishing in addition to being collectible.
The knife has a razor sharpness.
