THIS LISTING IS FOR A RARE
69.5 oz. SILVER INGOT FROM THE NETHERLANDS THAT WAS RECOVERED FROM THE WRECK OF THE DUTCH EAST INDIANMAN (VOC)  ROOSWIJK WHICH SUNK OFF THE ENGLISH COAST ON THE TREACHEROUS GOODWIN SANDS WITH THE LOSS OF ALL HANDS DURING THE MONTH OF DECEMBER IN 1739. THE "A" IN THE BAR STANDS FOR AMSTERDAM AND THE SMALL GOAT WITH GRASS STOOD FOR THE ASSAYER. THE END WITH THE HOLE IN IT WAS CLIPPED BY THE ASSAYER TO REACH A CERTAIN WEIGHT. SILVER INGOT IS ACCOMPANIED BY THE ORIGINAL BLUE C.O.A. COMES WITH ORIGINAL ORANGE TAG THAT THEY USED TO REGISTERED THE SILVER INGOT.
