    Description

    Before The Words "Bowie Knife"entered the American lexicon, the large butcher knife was used, as did Jim Bowie during the Sandbar fight in 1827 where he established his name.
    I made a close copy of such a knife with Rare Sambar stag gripscales.
    Made of 1095 carbon steel, total length 15.4 in. blade 10.3 in.
    Width of the blade is 1.6 in. thickness 0.25 in. / 6 mm.
    With an also handmade and handsewn topgrain leather scabbard specially for this knife.
    Decorated with a brass/copper with Mexican coin rosette, riveted with a brass rivet. Some red roses and leaves stamped and coloured in.
